Who is responsible
van der Meij IT diensten, based in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands, is responsible for processing personal data through this website. Contact: mail@vandermeij-it.nl.
Which data
Through the contact form I process your name, email address and message, and if provided your organisation and phone number. To prevent abuse I temporarily store a non-reversible (hashed) version of your IP address per submission.
Purpose and legal basis
I use the data only to answer your question and to prepare a possible assignment. The legal basis is your request (pre-contractual stage) and my legitimate interest in preventing spam.
Retention
I keep messages as long as needed for the correspondence, and at most two years after the last contact, unless an assignment follows. Hashed IP data is deleted after one hour.
Visitor statistics
For visitor statistics I use Statcounter (StatCounter, Ireland). Every page loads a script from statcounter.com for this. Statcounter records, among other things, the page visited, the referring website, browser, device and IP address. To distinguish new from returning visitors, Statcounter sets a cookie and stores a value in your browser’s local storage. I use the statistics only to improve the website and do not share them. You can block this with an ad blocker or your browser settings.
Cookies
Besides the Statcounter cookie, the contact page sets a functional session cookie, required for form security. It is removed when you close your browser. No external fonts are loaded.
Sharing with third parties
I do not share your data with third parties, except the hosting provider that technically runs the website and email, and Statcounter for visitor statistics.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data via mail@vandermeij-it.nl. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
