I manage ICT projects across the full lifecycle: from business case and design to operational readiness and handover to operations. I work with PRINCE2 and ITIL and lead multidisciplinary teams of 15 to over 40 FTE, including international and remote teams.

IT Infrastructure Specialist

I have worked as a desktop engineer and hosting specialist myself. That lets me review designs, question suppliers on substance and assess technical risks. My focus is the IT fit-out of offices: new sites, relocations, mergers and decommissioning.

Cloud and Migration
Migration to Azure and AWS, modern workplace and change of IT service provider.
I lead migrations of applications, servers and workplaces, and the transition from one IT service provider to another. I started in hosting: design and scaling of application environments on VMware and AWS. More recently I led a modern workplace programme based on Windows 11 and the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework.

Network Architecture
LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi, high-availability internet access and network security.
I direct the design and roll-out of corporate networks, from cabling to internet breakout. I review designs for availability, capacity and security, and keep business operations running during migration.

Interim Management and Vendor Management
Tendering, selection and transition of IT service providers. Temporary leadership of IT teams.
I fill a management or governance role temporarily. I write tenders for IT services, guide selection and contract negotiation, and lead the transition to the new provider. As team lead I managed a team of SAP and hosting specialists.
